What's in a Name
My maiden name is Meagley, a rather difficult name to pronounce for most, I was born in 1958 in Hancock, NY.

In the summer of '79, I volunteered for a Christian camp in Geneso, New York. The children were from the city and had never seen a deer or any other type of wildlife, so being out in the countryside was a new adventure!
​
During my first night there, I was attacked by mosquitos in my sleep, so I awoke itching and scratching like a madman! One of the camp-girls in my cabin, Tracy, piped up with a comical twist to my name, "Skeetermig"!
​
Years later, the mosquitos still love me and the name follows me even into my new profession, Chef Skeeter!
